I want, I want, I want

This recent post from For me, for you reminded me of how much I REEEEEAAALLLLY reaaallly want new glasses. I have been looking for vintage frames forever now and have collected a few pair from thrift stores and the like. I have this phobia of buying stuff online- especially clothes and shoes and glasses. What if they don't fit? What if they look terrible? What if you took your measurements wrong? Not to mention I am close to blind so getting lenses isn't the cheapest. Have you ever bought glasses online? Do you have any pointers? And, even though I am trying not to acknowledge the speeding train that is the Holidays heading straight for us, have you thought of what you might ask for for the Holidays? (P.S. I want glasses : )

  1. i love love love the number 1 glasses. So modern with an edge.

  2. I love vintage glasses. I'm totally in love with ones: http://giantdwarfdesign.blogspot.com/2010/08/august-7th-2010.html

Hope you find the perfect pair for you!

  3. Have you looked into Warby Parkers? I've heard that they have really great frames and excellent service!

PS Excited to see you tomorrow evening :]

  4. www.zennioptical.com broke my fear of buying prescription glasses online. You can get a complete set of glasses starting at $7! And they have a photo upload so you can virtually "try on" the glasses. (Not sure how accurate that is though! haha) I've bought glasses from them before, and I'm about to order some new ones.

  5. Loving the pair in the top pic! I've never bought glasses online so am of no help, I definately need a new prescription soon though, so I'm going to stop looking at this post right now before it makes me want new frames too! ;)

  6. Hey lady, just wanted to let you know I've awarded you the versatile blogger award :) You can find more details here:

  8. Miki- those are so cute!

Chelsea- Yes! I actually checked them out a while back. I was working at Anthropologie and a girl came in with super cute glasses from there.

Cbryan- Thanks for the link!! How did your glasses work out?

Pamplemousse- THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH! You're the sweetest!

    Cookie Button- Sounds super cute!

  9. I adore these frames. I have purchased a handful of cateye frames that never fit my face...I am currently saving for a new pair. I've been living with broken glasses to years now!
